The Journey in Colour 3rd November 2010
It was Wednesday 13th October in the afternoon when Margo thought it would be a good idea for me to attend the Dinshah Health Society Annual General Meeting in Malaga, New Jersey, USA. It had been advertised in the September Newsletter and for many years I had felt the need to attend, so here was my opportunity.
Arrangements were hurriedly made and on Friday 15th October I started out on my journey. The train for Aberdeen left Inverness at about 6am, arriving at Dyce in plenty of time for the flight to Paris. Due to an unexpected delay, I had to catch a later flight from Paris to New York but I arrived too late to catch my onward flight to Philadelphia. This was a result of a strike in Paris and Air France kindly organised accommodation for me in the Airport Hotel at JFK International Airport - I really needed to have a good restful evening.
The next day (Saturday), the passage to Philadelphia was a rather bumpy one and I was grateful to arrive on the tarmac safely. Having cleared Customs, a taxi to the city centre and then a New JerseyTransit Bus, saw me catch Route 408 to Malaga (a 90 minute journey) where a motel had been pre-booked. I arrived in the early evening, feeling rather tired and weary. The motel was not up to standard to say the least; fortunately, Darius Dinshah had kindly given me his brother Jal Dinshah's telephone number to call if I had any problems.
Jal Dinshah offered me hospitality at his home which I gratefully accepted and where I met his lovely wife, Ursula. Jal's house lies in amongst the trees of a small wood. After a good night's sleep in these lovely peaceful surroundings, we went to the Meeting which was being held at the building formerly used as the Dinshah Institute.
actually be here in this building and to see the many original models of Spectro-Chrome machines. A Dinshah model of Dr. Babbitt's "Chromalume" was also on display. This was a panel of colours designed to cover the whole body.
Darius Dinshaw, President of the Dinshah Health Society, opened the meeting formerly and proposed the official business
The many different types of light bulbs were displayed and Darius told us all the advantages and disadvantages
It was fascinating to see the various models of colour projectors shown and discussed. These models had previously been used by Dinshah in colour treatments over the years. Many of them had actually been assembled in the place where the meeting was being held.
Darius also showed the Chromalume replica which had been originated in the 1870s. The Institute had re-created it but no one knew how effective it was.
There still appears to be a great many people who have problems understanding the book, "Let There Be Light". Darius quoted many questions from people who have not yet grasped the fundamentals of how to take a treatment. It was agreed that the book does need a great deal of study and understanding.
The topics Darius covered included some of the history of his father's encounters with the law in America and what a difficult time he had lived through as he advocated healing with colour. He emphasised it was not just colour that can make us healthy, but that a correct diet and exercise was equally important. The latest Newsletter has an article on "Myokines" which shows how effective walking is for all our body systems and yet simple enough for even our elder citizens to use.
The "Itisometer" which was used to calculate the colours required in relation to abnormalities in the body temperature, was on display. It was used in conjunction with breath ratio checks, described in the book LTBL and hardly anyone takes the time to do the checks.
Colour charged water was another very interesting topic. Darius discussed Dr. Babbitt's use of coloured spice bottles which he used for the purpose of giving a small dose of the water to the client. It is always a good idea to keep a bottle or glass beaker charged with blue colour to be available to stop germs in the very beginning.
